Our neighbour, Isabel, is an avid gardener and we often chat over the fence. During one of these chats, I saw her in a halo of greenery, shears in hand, with the sun behind her. I painted the moment and afterward, framed the painting with a stain that matches the fence. The painting hangs in her home entryway.
